Cultivating common ground

To effectively communicate, we must realize that we are all different in the way we perceive the world and use this understanding as a guide to our communication with others.
– Tony Robbins

This is my passion and the reason I created Village Green Consulting. In my years working with Business and IT I have seen it again and again; near misses in connecting and understanding what the key drivers are for each other. Passionate people in both groups, all with a desire for the company to succeed, talking foreign languages to one another.

The sad result often is system evolution that is missing the Business and the IT mark. All for want of clear understanding of the context and true priorities.

It is in this area that I have been adding value to my clients. It is the area that I feel passionate about resolving. There is common ground in desires and skills, common ground in goals even, but it is not realised. This is most visible in the Business-IT divide, but I have also dealt with it between technology groups and product development groups.

Helping Business and IT find this alignment, and to establish a way to work collaboratively, is the reason I formed Village Green Consulting.

I look forward to helping your organisation flourish, through cultivating common ground.

Meet you at the Village Green.
